Who would of thought

This is the closest a fire has come to my parents house. Kinda scary, only a quarter of mile away. They have lived there for the last 27 years and never before has fire threatened the area that closely.

It definitely scared the girls to be evacuated, but all in all, everyone was ok and the fire was put out, and they went to the beach.

As you can see from Jenn's blog.. we had an interesting visit with our grandkids.
All in all - the evenings theater performance with Darby and Gavin at CMT on Saturday Night, then getting home just in time to pack up all the family photo's and get the heck out of there.. and finally a wonderful family day at Seacliff State Beach with all the grandkids.
Life is never dull around here!
Through all of the events, the kids were amazing, supportive and thoughtful. They reminded us that the important things in life are not the contents of our homes, but the family within it.
We are truely blessed.
As for the fire, it was too close for comfort and made me realize I need to scan those photo's and get them online!
