My mom wanted me to fly out to take family photos. Its hard to imagine the whole family back together again, and I often wonder when the next chance will be. We seem to be moving further apart and our lives are tending to be hurried.

A friend of Tim's from college came out to see us last week and we went to Seattle for the weekend. At first, I wanted to do the girl thing and just spend time in the city, but Tim's heart was set on the San Juan Islands and we spent most of a day there. It was beautiful and peaceful. I would love to go back and just stay for a while. The peace would definitely be helpful in these times of uncertainty.

We took a trip to Redding to visit Tim's mom and grandparents. I captured this photo of a lighthouse on the way up the coast. It was a beautiful drive and a great trip.
