Caras Birthday

We went to one of Cara's favorite places for her birthday. Safari Sam's. She had a great time, as 10 of her best friends were there to celebrate with her. And for her birthday, her Nana got her what she has been asking for. An American Girl doll. Boy did she make out this year, with horse back riding and American Girl clothes. On her real birthday, we will head out to dinner for a last celebration of her turning 6.

It was a stormy day, but all went well. We left right after a hail storm and headed to the park for a bridging ceremony. Hoping it wouldn't rain (or hail) again. To our luck, the weather held up, and so did the girls. They had a blast. We even got video of their play, but it is too big to post here. Here are the rest of the photos.

Horses

Well, Cara turns 6 soon and she really wanted to go horseback riding, so I found this great place to take her, and today was her lucky day. After spending the weekend catching and killing slugs, and getting camping stoves, among other things, her time finally came. Both girls were rather excited when we took them for a trip to Rice's Horses and More.

Mothers Day

For mothers day we went for a Sunday drive along the coast and to the beach and to the Tillamook cheese factory. The girls had a lot of fun running along the beach looking for shells and visiting the factory where the cheese that we mainly eat is made. There were actually big glass windows where you can watch the cheese being processed and packaged.

Camp

This weekend, Madison went to Camp Yamhill . Camp Yamhill fosters teamwork and courage by giving the girls challenge tasks. Madison participated and completed every task in her age range. She did the climbing wall, canoe, flying squirrel, zip line, river crossing, vertical spider web, Nitro Crossing, pentagon TP shuffle, and the whale watch. They also went on a treasure hunt and had s'mores by fireside. At night she bridged to Juniors. Here is a photo of her at the river crossing.
