Sonoma

Mumms03.jpg We went to Sonoma for three nights of relaxation at the Sonoma Chalet. We read the description as a secluded comfortable cottage, but when we got there, we realized that it was slightly run down, and that the furniture and bed needed to be replaced 15 years ago. I usually don't have problems with beds, but each morning I woke up with a sore back and each time I sat on the couch, I realized it was lumpy and lacked springs. Definitely not worth $200 a night! It reminded me a crummy college furniture. On the up side, the breakfast was wonderful.

We did some wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa. The visitor center in Sonoma was excellent. They gave us free tasting coupons to local wineries and great maps! In Napa, we did not find a visitor center that was as good. We did find ol' faithful which costs 8$ to go see. We decided to skip. Downtown Napa was a disappointment. We walked around for over an hour before deciding that it was better to eat in Sonoma! We loved the BV and Mums tasting room, though Mumm's needs to carry cheese and crackers with their tasters. I bet people would pay for it. Tims photos
